About the Mechanical Engineer Internship:

Gain hands-on experience reading engineering prints while partnering with operators to analyze manufacturing processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Program structure:

• Schedule: Part-time (15-20 hours/week) during the academic year and full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer.
• Location: Cleveland, OH
• Start Date: January 2027
• Duration: Year-round internship

What we're looking for:

• Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.

• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.

• Ability to succeed in a team environment.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks.

Preferred experience:

• Advanced Excel and analyst skills.

• AutoCAD experience.

• Exposure to Lean manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Tools.

What you'll focus on:

• Organize and maintain electrical and mechanical drawings within our document management system.
• Verify engineering prints accurately reflect current parts and manufacturing processes.
• Assist with the design and development of new parts and components.
• Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.
