Managing Consultant, Nursing

Nursing leadership and clinical workflows directly determine patient outcomes, care connection, and operational performance across health systems. In this leadership role, you will apply deep clinical nursing background and data analytics to guide healthcare organizations through complex system redesign, clinical process improvement, and cultural change. You will lead project teams, direct end-to-end consulting engagements, and partner directly with client stakeholders to solve high-stakes operational and care delivery challenges. Working alongside senior practice leadership, you will coach nursing teams, implement proven patient experience best practices, and build lasting, high-value client relationships. How You’ll Find Success
- Combines Clinical Depth & Data Mastery: Translates complex clinical and operational data assets into actionable system designs and nursing strategies.

- Designs Connection-Focused Strategies: Leverages nursing expertise to implement processes that help nurses connect deeply with patients and improve care delivery.
- Communicates with Influence: Builds immediate credibility across all levels of client management, effectively conveying risks, strategies, and solutions.
- Masterful Trainer & Coach: Delivers high-engagement training and knowledge transfer to elevate clinical staff performance and process adoption.
- Drives Execution Excellence: Manages complex project timelines, budgets, scope, and deliverables with agility under pressure and competing priorities.
How You’ll Grow
- Step into engagement leadership, directing multi-faceted consulting teams and managing complex health system projects.

Things You’ll Do
- Direct End-to-End Consulting Engagements: Manage project scope, budgets, timelines, and outcomes while directing project teams to deliver world-class clinical consulting.
- Design Systems for Nursing Excellence: Partner with clients to complete data analyses, process redesigns, and clinical workflows that strengthen care connection and operational efficiency.
- Facilitate Clinical Training & Coaching: Deliver interactive, high-impact training programs that embed patient experience best practices and sustainable process improvements across nursing teams.
- Synthesize Advanced Healthcare Analytics: Construct and lead analytical reviews across payer metrics, denial rates, and clinical behavior assessments to deliver clear executive recommendations.
- Build High-Trust Client Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact on engagement streams, establishing credibility and generating strong client satisfaction.
- Optimize Resource Delegation: Coordinate internal and client resources effectively using structured project management tools and work plans.
What We’re Looking For On Your Resume
- 10+ years of nursing experience with proven success designing clinical systems, processes, and care connection strategies.
- Demonstrated track record in training, coaching, and leading performance improvement initiatives within healthcare settings.
- Strong technical data analytics skills (e.g., Excel, Access, SQL, SAS) combined with advanced proficiency in MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience in a Magnet®-designated healthcare organization with a focus on professional training, education, or leadership development (strongly preferred).
- Management/strategic consulting experience in healthcare environments (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree required; ability to travel up to 75%.

For full-time positions, this pay range is for base per year; however, base pay offered within this range may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be included in an employment offer.
