More about the role

You will support Sales by providing technical expertise and high-quality lighting calculations for customer projects. The majority of the role will be focused on lighting calculations, primarily for outdoor/public lighting projects in Norway, including road & streets, sports facilities, and other outdoor areas.

The successful candidate will be involved in both large and small customer projects, where it is important to deliver accurate calculations, clear documentation, and well-considered lighting solutions that meet customer needs and project requirements. While the main focus is outdoor lighting, the team supports each other when needed, so the role may occasionally also involve indoor lighting projects. We are looking for a lighting Application Specialist based either in Denmark or Norway.

What you'll do

• Create lighting calculations and lighting designs, mainly for outdoor application areas such as roads, streets, sports facilities, and outdoor public spaces.

• Support Nordic Sales colleagues with technical expertise, project input, and customer-specific lighting solutions.

• Work on both large and small projects, ensuring accurate lighting calculations, strong technical documentation, and practical solutions that support customer needs.

• Prepare project deliverables such as lighting calculations, CAD drawings, bills of material, technical layouts, and conceptual presentations.

• Use tools such as DIALux EVO, Relux, AutoCAD and/or Revit to create accurate and professional lighting designs.

• Recommend the most suitable lighting solutions based on Signify’s product portfolio, balancing technical requirements, energy efficiency, sustainability, aesthetics, and customer needs.

• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and project requirements, and that documentation is clear, complete, and aligned with customer expectations.

• Collaborate closely with the Nordics LiAS team and provide support across projects when needed, including occasional indoor lighting projects.

• Contribute to strong customer satisfaction by delivering reliable technical support and practical lighting solutions that help Sales win projects and tenders.

• Stay updated on lighting technologies, market developments, standards, and tools, and share knowledge with colleagues and stakeholders.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Lighting Design, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Experience in lighting calculations and lighting design; experience from the European lighting industry or a lighting design consultancy is an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of DIALux EVO and/or Relux; experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit is an advantage.

• Strong technical understanding of outdoor/public lighting applications.

• Fluent in Danish, Swedish or Norwegian, and English. Being able to read and make yourself understandable in Danish, Swedish and Norwegian is highly valuable due to the close collaboration across Nordic Sales teams and working with country specific project material.

• Structured, detail-oriented, and able to deliver accurate calculations, technical documentation, and customer-oriented lighting solutions.

• Collaborative mindset and willingness to support the wider Nordics team when needed.
