Job Summary
We are part of Signify Lighting, dedicated to developing intelligent IoT lighting products (controllers, sensors, gateways) for global markets. As a key hardware role in our Shanghai R&D center, you will independently lead the full product development lifecycle from concept to mass production, working closely with cross-functional teams across multiple countries. Our mission is to drive digital transformation in professional lighting across offices, industries, retail, hospitality, and outdoor segments.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Own the complete hardware development cycle: specification writing, component selection, circuit design (analog/digital/power), PCB layout, testing, debugging, and manufacturing support.
- Act as a technical expert: review peer designs, mentor junior engineers, and elevate team competence.
- Manage product lifecycle: handle sustaining engineering and resolve complex field issues post-launch.
- Documentation & compliance: author design specifications, quality test plans; ensure products meet CE, UL, CQC and other international standards.
- Circuit simulation & analysis: perform simulations to validate design robustness and performance.
Qualifications
Must-have:
- Master’s degree or above in Electronics Engineering, Automation, Controls, or equivalent.
- 3–8 years of experience as an EE designer in electronics, electrical, automation controls, or telecom industries.
- At least one of the following:
- 3+ years in analog/power supply/driver circuit design;
- 3+ years in digital circuit design with MCU/SoC, Ethernet, USB interfaces.
- Strong skills in circuit simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, Simulink) and system integration.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in Lighting product development (drivers, controllers)
- Experience in IoT product development (controllers, sensors).
- Experience in telecom/networking equipment (switches, routers, gateways).
- Global product development experience or collaboration with international teams.
Soft skills:
- Efficient, strong ownership, result-driven, speed-focused.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, leadership, and coaching abilities.
- Fluent in both Chinese and English (spoken and written), with strong documentation skills.
