Ready to lead complex product life cycle projects that directly impact patients around the world? As a Life Cycle Manager, you will act as the ESO project lead for technical, manufacturing, and engineering initiatives across the life cycle of a product, including launches, transfers, changes, divestments, due diligence activities, and other strategic projects. You will bring together global and local stakeholders, lead cross-functional teams, and drive the successful execution of product strategies while balancing service levels, inventory, compliance, and cost objectives. Working across a highly interconnected global network, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless product transfers to contract manufacturing organizations and delivering operational excellence throughout the product life cycle.

 

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

 

• Lead technical transfer projects from initial planning through delivery and formal closure.
• Create project charters, detailed action plans, timelines, milestones, and governance structures.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Manufacturing Science and Technology, Quality, Artwork, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and external partners.
• Act as the main point of contact between Novartis teams and contract manufacturing organizations.
• Track project activities, dependencies, milestones, risks, and deviations against agreed timelines.
• Resolve project obstacles and escalate critical issues promptly to protect timelines and product supply.
• Organize regular governance meetings and provide clear project updates to teams, stakeholders, and sponsors.
• Develop submission, implementation, and change-control strategies with relevant regulatory, planning, and quality stakeholders.
• Coordinate inventory and contingency stock planning to prevent supply disruptions during transfers and product changes.
• Ensure projects meet agreed strategies, regulatory requirements, quality standards, budgets, and operational objectives.

 

Essential Requirements

 

• Degree in Pharmacy or a related pharmaceutical discipline.
• 10 to 15 years of experience working with solid oral dosage forms.
• 7 to 10 years of project management experience involving technology transfers and cross-functional project delivery.
• Technical understanding of tablet formulation, manufacturing processes, and product requirements.
• Working knowledge of registration requirements across Europe and Rest of World markets.
• Ability to develop Gantt charts and manage complex projects, timelines, risks, and escalations.
• Professional English, with strong communication, collaboration, and results-oriented problem-solving skills.
