About the Role
Perform all functions within the Legal Affairs department. Have the basic capabilities in the following areas, (i) interpretation of laws and regulations, (ii) drafting / amendment of contracts, (iii) performance of corporate secretarial duties, (iv) litigation or management of external counsel during litigation and (v) providing legal advice to various functions.

1. Providing Legal Advice or Other Support (varies per individual)
- Provide practical advice on various legal / regulatory matters
- Provide support on contracts, such as drafting, revising or negotiating terms
- Support projects as a project member or via legal advice
2. Corporate Secretary work (varies per individual)
- Operate various governance entities, i.e., the Shareholder Meeting, Board of Directors and its Committees
- Coordinate various functions on materials necessary for all agenda items
- Communicate with Shareholder (Group), Board Members and other Stakeholders (e.g., AIA Korea
Executives) to ensure smooth operation of the various governance entities
3. Litigation (varies per individual)
- Represent AIA or manage counsel representing AIA on various matters with the potential for disputes (regardless of whether formal litigation process has been initiated)
- Perform various functions related to clawbacks of commissions, premium or claims, such as filing of liens

- Ability to interpret laws and regulations, especially as to how it affects AIA
- Organizational skills to handle various matters concurrently
- Interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders

- Knowledge of insurance industry preferred
- English proficiency preferred
