Your New Role!  

As a Learning Accessibility Consultant, you'll play a key role in supporting students with disability and health conditions to succeed throughout their studies at Murdoch University.

Working collaboratively with students and staff, you'll champion inclusive teaching practices, support the integration of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles, deliver training on accessible technologies and identify appropriate reasonable adjustments that remove barriers to learning.

This is an opportunity to combine strategic influence with meaningful student support, helping to create a positive and equitable student experience.

Based at our South Street campus, you'll have the option to work from our Mandurah office one day per week. While this is optional, occasional work at the Mandurah campus may be required during semester periods.

This Continuous| Full Time (37.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $101K – $133K (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Education with experience supporting students with disability, or a Bachelor's degree in Disability, Allied Health or a related field with experience in accessible learning design or teaching.

  • Knowledge of disability, health and mental health conditions and their impact on learning.

  • Experience applying Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles in a learning environment.

  • Confidence using educational and accessibility technologies across PC and Mac platforms.

  • Strong relationship-building and change management skills
