Job Description Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) to support classified and Special Access Program (SAP) security operations. The CPSO will report directly to the FSO/CSSO and will be responsible for supporting program security administration, personnel security actions, secure facility oversight, and compliance with applicable U.S. Government, Department of Defense, and customer security requirements.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day security operations for assigned classified and SAP programs
• Administer personnel security and program access actions in accordance with approved procedures
• Conduct security indoctrinations, debriefings, and recurring security education activities
• Maintain required security records, access documentation, and accountability files
• Support classified document control, handling, storage, transmission, and destruction requirements
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and authorized government representatives on security matters
• Assist with inspections, self-assessments, audits, and corrective actions
• Support oversight and compliance activities for secure work areas and accredited facilities
• Ensure assigned duties are performed in accordance with applicable security requirements and approved internal procedures
• May include other required responsibilities outlined by the FSO

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Experience supporting classified programs in industrial, personnel, program, or special access security
• Experience administering personnel access actions and maintaining related documentation
• Experience supporting secure facility operations and compliance requirements
• Working knowledge of NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117)
• Familiarity with ICD 705 requirements for secure facilities
• Knowledge of applicable DoD SAP security policies, including:
  • DoDM 5205.07, Volume 1-4 
• Strong attention to detail, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive information appropriately
• Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with standard business software and security recordkeeping systems
• Must be a US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Secret or Top-Secret security clearance required
• Prior experience as a SSO, CSSO, Assistant FSO, or in a related security role
• Experience supporting SAP, SCI, or other controlled-access environments
• Experience supporting accredited secure facility compliance, inspections, and documentation
• Familiarity with customer-specific security guidance and implementing procedures

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $87,800.00 and $146,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
