The Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our South Australian team as a Key Account Executive. This role plays a critical support function to the Key Account Manager, helping drive sales, profitability and market share growth across key Independent Grocery customers including Drakes, Foodland and IGA (Metcash). You will be responsible for supporting customer plans, promotional execution, forecasting and commercial administration activities that enable strong customer partnerships and successful business outcomes.

As a key member of our IG team, you will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure sales programs are executed effectively, promotional investments are managed accurately, and customer initiatives are delivered seamlessly across the business.

Responsibilities

• Support in delivering Joint Business Plans (JBPs), promotional strategies and commercial objectives across key SA Independent Grocery accounts.
• Managing trade spend, customer claims and promotional investment processes to maximise efficiency and maintain commercial accuracy.
• Coordinating promotional activities, merchandising programs and sales initiatives with the field sales team to ensure strong in-market execution.
• Providing forecasting support and collaborating with Demand Planning and cross-functional teams to drive effective business planning.
• Monitoring sales performance, supporting range reviews and identifying opportunities to improve execution, close gaps and deliver growth.

About You

• Previous FMCG sales experience in field sales, account management or customer-facing commercial roles, with a proven ability to drive customer and business growth.
• Strong commercial and analytical capability, with the ability to identify opportunities, interpret data and make informed business decisions.
• Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and experience managing forecasting, promotional activities and administrative processes.
• Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills, able to influence and collaborate effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated and adaptable, with excellent planning and execution skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a commitment to delivering results aligned to Bega's values.
