The JAVA Software Developer will design, develop, deploy, and maintain
applications that support our travel services and business operations.

What You’ll Do

• Programming & Support: Perform complex programming tasks for legacy system modernization into a Java environment. Modify existing systems for cybersecurity compliance.

• System Migration: Migrate legacy applications to updated platforms, ensuring alignment with industry guidelines and improving system uptime.

• Fixing & Optimization: Diagnose, isolate, and resolve software issues, monitor system capacity, and ensure applications’ connectivity to vendor APIs.

• Documentation & Standards: Create software documentation and architecture diagrams. Adhere to development standards and security requirements.

• Provide technical support for applications using Java, C#, jQuery,AJAX, React, and SQL Server.

• Use Visual Studio 2019/2022 for development, ensuring compatibility with major web browsers (IE, Chrome, Firefox, etc.).

• Add functionality to streamline backend processes and improve system efficiency.

• Complete disaster recovery procedures and provide Tier 2 technical support.

• Collaborate to define system specifications, design architecture, perform testing, and document all source code.

• React.js (2 years)

• REST and SOAP APIs

• GitHub Copilot

• Claude Code

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of GIT source control.
• Knowledge of letter carrier, SOAP UI, or other API testing tools.
• Experience in the Travel Industry, preferably development with Online/Offline Booking Systems (Concur, Amadeus, Travelport+)

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
