What will you be doing as an IMA Scheduler

This role is part of the IMA Service team. It will be responsible for managing the planning of future work schedules for the IMA metering operatives. The role will work closely with the IMA Contact Team and IMA Operational Teams to ensure KPIs and ODIs are achieved.

This position is fundamental to the success of the IMA Services Team, overseeing the scheduling of metering resources. It will also play a critical role in planning work within agreed service levels. The role will ensure that metering operational activities are scheduled efficiently, maximising utilisation and productivity, while ensuring processes are followed to achieve right-first-time delivery and minimise rework and repeat visits.

A key responsibility will be supporting IMA in meeting its ODI obligations, with a primary focus on CMEX and BRMEX.

You’ll need to be highly skilled in the use of systems to produce effective schedules. Through SAP and Oracle, you will drive improvements in processes and procedures to deliver a first-class service.

What it will take to do this job?

• Plan and manage metering schedules to deliver against customer expectations, Whole Lifecycle LOS targets, and support CMEX and BRMEX performance.
• Maximise utilisation of field resources to drive productivity and achieve operational and financial targets.
• Coordinate all scheduling activities, ensuring work is deliverable, appropriately resourced, and completed within required timescales.
• Proactively identify and manage risks to delivery, taking corrective action or escalating where required to minimise customer impact.
• Ensure all work is planned with the correct dependencies, permits, and third-party requirements in place.
• Maintain compliance with Traffic Management and regulatory requirements, avoiding penalties (FPNs).
• Ensure accurate and timely system updates (SAP/Oracle) with clear and relevant information.
• Maintain effective communication with Contact Team, field teams, and stakeholders regarding changes or issues impacting delivery.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date work status through regular liaison with field teams.
• Monitor customer service levels across proactive and reactive work, ensuring customers are kept informed where required.
• Identify and prevent duplicate work requests to avoid unnecessary field visits and improve efficiency.

A little bit about your skills and experience

• Educated to A level standard or equivalent
• Experience in an operational or operational support environment or, experience in a customer-facing environment
• Relevant experience in a Scheduling environment
• Excellent awareness & understanding of operational IMA issues
• Excellent knowledge and experience on SAP and Oracle
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to think commercially  (desirable)
• Understanding of the regulatory and operating environment
• Able to translate technical knowledge to others
• Able to make sound decisions
• Proven analytical and problem solving skills for complex issues
