We are actively hiring for a Homeowner Claims Quality Assurance Senior Analyst!
Your Role:
The Claims QA function applies quality assurance techniques and methods to examine the output and efficiency of business processes within the CSAA Insurance Group claims organizations and business partners.
Plans, executes, analyzes, and presents outcomes of claims-related auditing activities. Under broad management direction organizes activities and leads teams to accomplish work. Has highest authority limits on assignments reflecting the highest degree of technical complexity. Leads multiple projects concurrently.
Your Work:
- Learns and applies basic statistics concepts related to sampling and auditing.
- Analyzes quantitative claim and financial data to determine auditing opportunities and appropriate scope for efforts.
- Applies a high level of technical knowledge in gathering qualitative understanding by reviewing claim handling events.
- Analyzes qualitative audit data to monitor, communicate and mitigate top issues and control gaps related to claim events, both with peers and independently.
- Plans and executes claim-related audits and similar projects independently and with peers, including assigning collaborative work to peers and ensuring progress towards shared objectives when appropriate.
- Prepares persuasive written reports for claims executives and other business leaders encouraging business remediation of relevant deficiencies.
- Builds and maintains a professional network with claims leaders.
- Facilitates meetings as necessary for projects.
- Trains newer peers in all technical aspects of the job.
- Leads multiple projects concurrently.
- May be asked to step into a temporary leadership or support role within either Claims QA or a claims team as needed.
Required Experience, Education and Skills:
- 6+ years of experience in property claims handling required.
- A bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.

- An advanced Degree (CPA, MBA) in a related area.
- Exposure to using data in spreadsheets and/or databases for risk detection.
- Prior audit experience.
- Ability to recognize the interdependencies among complex business processes to anticipate risk potential.
- Ability to develop recommendations and solutions to complex problems based on data.
- Ability to communicate, in person (virtual) and in writing, complex data and concepts so that the material is easily understood by all levels of management.
- Ability to teach, lead and mentor others.
- Ability to advocate, persuade, and influence other employees from functional level individual contributors to senior leadership creatively and effectively.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to adapt to changing deadlines and priorities.
- Actively shapes our company culture (e.g., participating in employee resource groups, volunteering, etc.).
- Lives into cultural norms (e.g., willing to have cameras when it matters: helping onboard new team members, building relationships, etc.).
- Travels as needed for role, including divisional / team meetings and other in-person meetings.
- Fulfills business needs, which may include investing extra time, helping other teams, etc.
Please note we are hiring for this role remote anywhere in the United States with the following exceptions: Hawaii and Alaska.

Required:
- Ability to develop recommendations and solutions to complex problems identified in analysis.
- Ability to understand the interdependencies among complex business processes and anticipate problems and issues with process changes and develop robust strategies for addressing them required.
- Ability to communicate complex data and concepts in person, in writing and as formal presentations so that it is easily understood by all levels of management from first level to executive management required.
- The ability to teach, lead and mentor new analysts entering the Claim QA field required.
- Ability to creatively and effective advocate, persuade, and influence other employees from functional level individual contributors to senior leadership required.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Proficient in the use of simple relational data bases, primarily MS access required.
- Ability to adjust to continually changing deadlines and priorities required.
Education, Work Experience, Licenses & Certifications
Required:
- BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 6+ years experience in claims handling
Preferred:
- Advanced Degree (CPA, MBA) in related area
- Insurance and/or physical damage industry certification, such as AIC, ICAR
- 2 – 3 years auditing
