Summary:

The Kogod Behavioral Lab Student acts as a Manager and supports the day-to-day operations and research activities of the behavioral lab. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive student with a strong interest in behavioral research, lab management, and academic collaboration. The Student Manager plays a key role in ensuring studies run smoothly, participants are coordinated effectively, and research projects are executed with precision.

Essential Functions:

1.) Lab Operations & Management

• Oversee daily lab operations, including scheduling studies and managing lab resources.

• Coordinate participant recruitment, communication, and tracking.

• Maintain lab systems, databases, and research tools.

• Ensure compliance with research protocols and ethical standards.

2.) Research Support

• Assist with ongoing behavioral studies.

• Conduct literature reviews and support study design and implementation.

• Help collect, organize, and analyze research data.

• Contribute to the preparation of research reports, presentations, and publications.

3.) Administrative & Event Coordination

• Organize and support academic events, workshops, and lab meetings.

• Assist with documentation, reporting, and general administrative tasks.

• Serve as a point of contact between students, faculty, and external participants.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• Part-time.

• 10 hours per week.

Salary Range:

• $20.00 - $23.50 per hour.

Required Education and Experience:

• Graduate or PhD level Student.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and professionally.

• Familiarity with research methods, data collection, and basic analysis.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Professional and interpersonal skills for working with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Previous research or lab experience preferred.
