About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Geotechnical Engineer/Geologist – Design Reviewer to support a major highway infrastructure project in Timor-Leste. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing geotechnical investigations, geological assessments, foundation solutions, slope stabilization measures, and ground improvement designs prepared by the Design-Build Contractor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering preferably post graduated in Geology or Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent.
- Have a minimum of 15 years of cumulative experience in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or Geology and thereof a minimum of 10 years related to Highway roads design.
- Have served in a similar capacity on at least 2 Highway roads construction and design projects of similar nature.
- Preferably a full-time employee of the PMC since at least 2 years.
- Fluency in written and spoken form of English is mandatory
- Supervise the necessary soil investigations during design stage and will be responsible for reviewing each soil treatment proposed based on the soil and environmental conditions, soil selection, slope stabilization, and any other soil related activities including soil improvement, etc. in conformance with the DBF Contract.
