As a Food Service Assistant, you’ll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team helping to create a welcoming, professional and supportive care experience for the residents of our Mitchelton residential service. Historically known as St Joseph's Villa, Madonna Villa and Oxford Park, our residential service is a carefully restored former monastery with 176 beds and located less than 10kms from the Brisbane CBD. 

Things that work for us: 

• Casual opportunity | Varying shift times across Monday to Friday and weekends, with shifts scheduled between 0600-1900

• Previous experience in a similar role assisting in the preparation and serving of meals 

• Assisting with food service duties including setting tables, cleaning dishes and cleaning and supporting as a cook when required

• Genuine and professional customer service skills, team player and well presented

• Commercial cookery qualifications desirable 

• An ability to provide a catering and kitchen service that is consistent with the mission and philosophy of our organisation

• High level of customer service skills 

• Previous experience in a similar role 

• Ensure compliance with food safety hygiene standards 

• Understanding of Aged Care and resident rights and responsibilities
