Retirement Financial Consultants at Manulife John Hancock Wealth have the opportunity to spend more time working with an established book of clients, servicing their needs, building trust, and deepening relationships, rather than performing cold call prospecting. A strong and growing pipeline of accounts is being opened into this channel, creating meaningful opportunities to proactively engage clients, understand their goals, and help them make informed decisions about retirement planning and investments.
As a vital member of our employee-channel, phone-based team, you will deliver financial education and guidance that helps clients pursue their desired retirement outcomes while contributing to client retention, relationship growth, and asset growth. You will have access to coaching, resources, shared best practices, and senior advisor support within a highly collaborative team structure. You will also have opportunities to strengthen your advisory skills and advance into more senior financial advisor roles as the business grows.
Position Responsibilities:
Respond to inbound calls from existing IRA clients and referrals from other service centers, assess client needs, and help clients make informed investment decisions.
Quickly analyze each client’s circumstances, present relevant options, and educate clients on retirement and investment concepts to identify opportunities to deepen relationships and gather additional assets.
Assist clients with account and investment questions, including asset movement, trading, and day-to-day service inquiries, while delivering an outstanding client experience.
Work collaboratively with the team and refer clients who require more sophisticated advice to senior advisors.
Achieve monthly productivity targets, including timely follow-up on sales leads and client opportunities, and stay informed about market trends, retirement regulations, and the full range of Manulife John Hancock Wealth solutions.
Required Qualifications:
Three to five years of financial services experience, preferably in phone-based and/or sales roles.
FINRA SIE and Series 7 and 63 licenses; Series 65 required within 90 days of being hired.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Strong client service and sales skills, with the ability to quickly uncover client needs and present appropriate solutions.
Strong retirement and investment knowledge, with the ability to educate clients on available solutions.
Ability to manage time and resources efficiently and work effectively within a collaborative team structure.

Salary range is expected to be between
$40,000.00 USD - $66,700.00 USDEmployees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
