Responsibilities:
- Drive operational excellence across all financial centers, supporting Retail Banking Leadership with a solution-oriented approach.
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration and provide operational and administrative support to leadership.
- Provide guidance, support, and conflict resolution to team members while adhering to bank guidelines, policies, and applicable laws.
- Execute audits and risk-related reviews; maintain a strong control environment and report findings and updates to the Retail Banking leadership and internal risk partners.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and compliance risks across the Retail line of business; escalate critical risks to leadership.
- Create, modify, and review processes, procedures, and training materials that support operational changes and enhancements to the front line.
- Lead Retail Operations training across the line of business; develop and maintain a properly cross-trained staff.
- Coordinate operational issues including application access, equipment needs, workflow, and transaction integrity while maintaining operational consistency across all Financial Centers.
- Act as a coach and mentor across all levels of Financial Center Leadership to strengthen foundational operational excellence
- Prepare, maintain, and distribute operational reports.
- Own and execute special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years in Retail Banking, with very strong knowledge of operational procedures, bank regulations, risk management and compliance
- 5+ years prior Retail Banking management experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in business (Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, etc.) or other relevant degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of bank security protocols, financial center operations, client service, and sales.
- Proven leadership skills; ability to build influence and drive change management.
- Excellent ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities, and maintain attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong independent judgment; comfortable de-escalating concerns and implementing creative solutions.
- Strong observation and decision-making skills.
- Strong technical proficiency in MS Office, Power BI, Salesforce, and financial/data reporting.
- Exceptional written, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated project management expertise; ability to lead complex, multi-phase initiatives with competing priorities.
- Strong risk management and compliance acumen; ability to identify and resolve operational risks proactively.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
- Comfortable traveling to multiple Financial Center sites (75%+ travel, including overnight stays required).
- Flexible and adaptable to changing business priorities.
