The Personal Lines Architecture team defines and governs technology strategy, standards, and roadmaps for Auto, Home, and Umbrella platforms. The team drives Guidewire modernization, cloud transformation, API enablement, integration, and data architecture initiatives while ensuring scalability, resiliency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with enterprise architecture objectives
The Domain Architect owns the architecture vision and roadmap for Personal Lines policy administration platforms supporting Auto, Home, and Umbrella products. The role governs Guidewire Policy Center and related capabilities, provides strategic guidance to delivery teams, drives modernization initiatives, and influences technology investments aligned to business priorities
Designs and develops Domain IT architecture (integrated process, applications, data and technology) solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. Requires in-depth logical and practical knowledge in Domain Architecture and basic knowledge of related job disciplines. Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
Requirements
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 7-9 + years of overall experience.
- 4-6 years in Guidewire Policy Center – Auto, Home, PNC.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience defining architecture roadmaps and technology strategy.
- Knowledge of cloud transformation, APIs, integrations, and data architecture.
- Architect or senior-level industry certification required within 12 months of hire Guidewire Architecture.
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation programs.
- Fluent English communication skills.
💡 Key Responsibilities
- Utilizes in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in Domain Architecture and basic knowledge of related job disciplines to perform complex technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications for Domain solution delivery.
- Solves complex problems and partners effectively to execute broad, continuous Domain level architecture improvement roadmaps that impacts the organization.
- Works independently, receives minimal guidance and direction to solve for and influence Enterprise and System architecture through Domain level knowledge. Reviews high level design to ensure alignment to Solution Architecture.
- May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on-going activities or objectives.
- Mentor developers and create reference implementations/frameworks.
- Partners with System Architects to elaborate capabilities and features.
- Delivers single domain architecture solutions and executes continuous domain level architecture improvement roadmap.
- Actively supports design and steering of a continuous delivery pipeline.
- Plans Architecture runway for a full solution and fosters built-in quality for entire solution.
- Establishes and supports definition of Non-Functional requirements.
