Role
We are seeking a strong engineering lead to guide our engineering squads and drive the development of our cutting-edge product. Ideal candidates will have a strong technical background, proven leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality SaaS solutions. This role will work alongside the CTO and manage 15-20 engineers across various squads(Front,Back,QA,AI), the development process and technical stack.
Responsibilities
Lead and direct engineering squads, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and reliable SaaS productsParticipate heavily in technical architecture discussions, ensuring longevity and scalable solutions which align with the product goalsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and customer success, to define and execute the product roadmapFoster a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement within the engineering teamEstablish and implement engineering best practices, processes, and standards to ensure efficient and effective development cyclesContribute to the codebase when needed, following the same best practices and acting as a role modelMentor and develop engineering talent, providing guidance and support to help team members achieve their full potentialOversee recruitment, retention, and professional development of a high-performing engineering teamManage and optimize the engineering budget, ensuring the efficient allocation of resourcesBuild strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and vendors, to understand their needs and ensure Tektome’s engineering efforts align with business objectivesRepresent Tektome’s engineering team internally and externally, acting as a technical spokesperson and advocateMust-Have Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field10+ years of software engineering experience at a senior level, with at least 2 years experience as a leadAbility to relocate to Tokyo, Japan (availability for in-person meetings with our leadership team is required)Strong technical expertise in software development, system architecture, and cloud-based solutionsProven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutionsExcellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop talentStrong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilitiesExceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levelsExperience working in a fast-paced, agile environmentPassion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiencesA humble spirit and a drive for continual self-improvementStrong technical expertise in software development, system architecture, and cloud-based solutionsNice-to-Have Skills:A humble spirit and a drive for continual self-improvement Strong technical expertise in software development, system architecture, and cloud-based solutionsExperience working in the AEC or construction technology industryN2 JapaneseWhat We Offer
