Job Title: Encapsulation Technician
Function: Manufacturing
Reporting to: Encapsulation Team Leader
MAIN OBJECTIVES
Responsible for all aspects of the production critical encapsulation process required for product manufactured.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out all aspects of the Encapsulation process including encapsulating, sealing, and priming of assemblies.
Carrying out routine checks, maintenance and cleaning of encapsulation machines, compressor, vacuum pump, maintenance and filter change of spray booth equipment all in accordance with procedures.
Planning, progressing and co-ordinating workload in accordance with production schedule and other internal customers, such as repair and design departments.
Raising production paperwork including non-compliance/rework records and stores requisitions in accordance with company processes.
Ensuring all quality procedures for build and workmanship standards and ESD requirements are implemented.
Maintaining and improving housekeeping and cleanliness of work area.
Working on own initiative reading BOM’s and drawings etc.
Engagement in continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibility for adhering to the Company’s Quality ISO9001 Quality and ISO14001 Environmental Management system requirements and the Health and Safety Management System.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Good attention to detail. Experience with operating machinery
Understanding of mechanical assembly procedures and processes.
Appreciation of modern manufacturing techniques.
Good communication skills.
Working conditions
· The role includes the use of PPE where appropriate e.g. safety shoes, eyewear, gloves, Respiratory masks.
· Operation and maintenance of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic machinery.
· Prolonged standing and walking throughout the workday.
· Regular lifting and movement of materials up to 30kg (with use of mechanical aids where applicable) in accordance with risk assessment and safe working practices.
· Occasional lifting and movement of equipment/materials up to 800kg with use of mechanical aids in accordance with risk assessment and safe working practices.
