Impact Life is seeking a Director of Rural Health Services to provide leadership and oversight for our growing rural health work across Delaware.
This is a new leadership position created as Impact Life continues to expand its integrated healthcare, behavioral health, substance use disorder, recovery, and community-based services, including our Dover Rural Health Hub and the new Rural Recovery Ecosystem Initiative (RREI) in Sussex County.
The Director will help ensure that these services work together as a connected system, strengthen partnerships across communities, support program leaders and staff, and help guide the continued growth and sustainability of Impact Life’s rural health services.
- Provide leadership and oversight for Impact Life’s rural health initiatives in Kent and Sussex Counties.
- Oversee the continued development of the Dover Rural Health Hub and implementation of the Rural Recovery Ecosystem Initiative.
- Support integration across primary care, behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, prevention, recovery support, Social Prescribing, and community resource navigation.
- Provide supervision and support to assigned program and clinical leadership.
- Work with leadership and staff to identify gaps in services and develop strategies to improve access and coordination.
- Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, behavioral health organizations, community partners, state agencies, funders, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor program performance, outcomes, quality measures, grant requirements, and contractual deliverables.
- Work collaboratively with clinical, finance, compliance, data, quality, HR, and executive leadership.
- Support staffing, budgets, sustainability planning, and responsible use of program and grant resources.
- Represent Impact Life in community meetings, coalitions, collaborative initiatives, and other external settings.
- Support continued growth and development of rural health services.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, behavioral health, public health, social services, or a related field.
- Experience with grant-funded programs, program implementation, compliance, and performance monitoring.
- Experience developing community partnerships and cross-system collaborations.
- Experience working with rural or underserved communities. Demonstrated leadership experience in healthcare, behavioral health, substance use disorder services, public health, recovery services, or a related field.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing programs or service lines.
- Strong understanding of integrated care, behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, recovery-oriented systems of care, and social drivers of health.
- Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel between Impact Life locations and throughout Delaware as needed.
