About the Role

If you are a senior marketing strategist with a passion for thought leadership, brand building, and executing programs at a global scale, this role is for you.

As part of Elsevier's Research Marketing organization serving the Academic & Government markets, the Director of Brand & Market Authority Programs owns the channel activation of Elsevier thought leadership for key audiences such as Academic Leaders, Funders and Librarians, strengthening brand visibility, credibility, and market authority while supporting performance across the full customer lifecycle. You will work closely with Content Marketing and Creative teams, business leadership, and subject matter experts to turn brand building ideas and expertise into thriving programs that reach and engage audiences across owned, paid and earned media channels.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, delivery, and performance of channel activation for thought leadership programs through direct individual contribution and influence
• Design and evolve scalable program frameworks, best practices, processes, engagement models, and measurement approaches
• Drive cross-functional alignment for marketing channel activation strategies across Research Marketing (Audience, Global Campaigns, Lifecycle, and Digital Ops), Global Communications, and Research Networks
• Provide mentorship and guidance to Managers and Senior Managers, offering direction, coaching, and quality oversight
• Report into the VP of Demand & Lifecycle Marketing
• Deliver activated A&G thought leadership programs that increase visibility, reach, and influence
• Drive engagement with institutional decision-makers and growth in engaged audiences and contacts
• Ensure consistent brand voice, messaging, and positioning across campaigns

Requirements

• Deep experience in campaign, content, or demand generation marketing
• Proven ability to design scalable programs, frameworks, and measurement approaches
• Strong experience operating in complex, matrixed environments
• Excellent stakeholder leadership and ability to influence without authority
• Strong commercial, martech, and performance measurement fluency
