Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a DevOps Engineer with 6+ years of experience in DevOps tooling and CI/CD pipelines, along with strong hands-on development expertise in Golang and Node.js. The role will support the modernization of entitlement services by migrating OMES and UPMS from direct Salesforce account and contact dependencies to a backward-compatible API and integration layer. The successful candidate will design and build integration components, manage Infrastructure as Code and deployment pipelines, support system cutovers, validate entitlement and permission integrity, and contribute to end-to-end quality assurance and user acceptance testing. The role will help maintain backward compatibility, reduce permissioning risks, and support reliable delivery across interconnected enterprise systems.
Software Requirements
Required
- DevOps tooling and CI/CD pipelines: 6+ years of experience designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting automated build, test, release, and deployment pipelines.
- Golang: Strong hands-on development experience.
- Node.js: Strong hands-on development experience.
- Terraform: Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code, infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management.

Overall Responsibilities
- Repoint OMES and UPMS from direct Salesforce account and contact dependencies to the new backward-compatible API and integration layer.
- Design and build integration components connecting UPMS and OMES to the shielding layer.
- Preserve backward compatibility for downstream consumers during service, API, and hierarchy changes.
- Execute and support two cutovers for each system:Cutover onto the shielding layer.Cutover aligned to the Salesforce hierarchy change.
- Prepare, test, and maintain rollback plans and readiness activities for each cutover.
- Validate entitlement and permission integrity end-to-end across the OneMSCI Entitlements systems.
- Identify and resolve conditions that could result in client over-permissioning or under-permissioning.
- Contribute to program-wide quality assurance activities and support the compressed UAT window for permissioning flows.
- Support entitlement data migration aligned to approximately 8,800 new Segment Accounts.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, mapping verification, and migration-quality checks.
- Manage Infrastructure as Code and deployment pipelines for entitlement services affected by the migration.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD workflows for application, integration, infrastructure, and configuration changes.
- Build, test, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot Golang and Node.js services and integration components.

Day-to-Day Activities
- Develop, test, debug, and maintain Golang and Node.js microservices, REST APIs, shielding-layer integrations, and entitlement-service components.
- Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, testing, security, data, and business teams through design discussions, cutover planning, QA reviews, UAT sessions, and delivery meetings.
- Deliver Terraform changes, CI/CD pipeline updates, deployment packages, migration validation, permission-integrity checks, test evidence, monitoring updates, and technical documentation.
- Make implementation and deployment decisions within approved architecture and security standards, maintain rollback readiness, resolve technical risks, and escalate issues affecting permissions, data integrity, service availability, or delivery timelines.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant education and professional experience may be considered.
- 6+ years of experience with DevOps tooling and CI/CD pipelines, including strong hands-on development in Golang and Node.js.
- Demonstrated experience with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, microservices, REST APIs, complex system integration, debugging, deployment, and production support.
- Certifications in cloud technologies, DevOps, Kubernetes, Terraform, security, or software development are preferred but not mandatory.
- Maintain continuous professional development in Golang, Node.js, cloud engineering, CI/CD, Terraform, microservices, API integration, identity and entitlement systems, testing, and secure DevOps practices.
