As a Deals - Financial Due Diligence - Senior Associate you will support clients through mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures by analyzing financial information, including quality of earnings, assets, cash flows, and key transaction issues within our Deals practice. As a Senior Associate you will manage assigned workstreams, build meaningful client connections, and develop your technical skills while mentoring junior team members and navigating increasingly complex situations. In this role at PwC, you will help identify transaction risks and value drivers, interpret financial data, and contribute to deliverables that support informed deal decisions.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing financial statements, management reports, and transaction data to evaluate earnings quality, working capital, cash flow, and asset trends
- Supporting buy-side and sell-side due diligence engagements across mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
- Developing financial models and schedules to assess historical performance, forecast assumptions, and deal implications
- Identifying key accounting issues, transaction risks, and business performance drivers for client decision making
- Drafting clear deliverables that summarize findings, observations, and value drivers for transaction teams and client leaders
- Coordinating workstreams, managing assigned tasks, and tracking deliverables through changing transaction timelines
- Reviewing information from management presentations, data room materials, and financial records to validate consistency and completeness
- Building trusted client relationships by responding to questions, interpreting feedback, and adapting to changing priorities
- Mentoring junior team members, reviewing their work, and sharing practical guidance on due diligence methods and analysis techniques
- Applying professional judgment, critical thinking, and financial acumen to break down complex deal issues and support recommendations
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 3 years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required
What Sets You Apart
- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Accounting, Actuarial Science, Analytics/Data Science, Business Administration/Management, Computer Science/Information Systems, Economics, Finance, Health Administration/Public Health, Mathematics/Statistics, Risk Management/Insurance
- Demonstrating financial due diligence or transaction support experience
- Interpreting financial statements, working capital, and earnings quality
- Applying critical thinking to complex deal concepts and data
- Building client relationships while navigating ambiguity
- Mentoring junior team members and reviewing assigned work
- Developing self-awareness through feedback and reflection
