About this role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Data Engineer to join our Partner and Sales data team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing scalable solutions for the efficient use of big data within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) projects. Together with the team, you will be responsible for building and optimizing robust data pipelines and further scaling the measurement datasets to turn them into actionable insights - including pipelines that serve as the foundation for machine learning and AI use cases.

* Please note that this position is located in Amsterdam (3 days a week from our Amsterdam office and 2 days working from home)

These are some of the key components to the position:  

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and a semantic layer on GCP, leveraging Airflow for orchestration and dbt for transformation and modeling.
• Design and implement dimensional data models (star and snowflake schemas) to organize and optimize data for analysis and reporting.
• Build AI-ready data pipelines and feature datasets supporting machine learning and analytical AI use cases.
• Leverage advanced SQL and Python to transform, optimize, and analyze large datasets across partner and sales domains.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across the stack — operating within and contributing to established DQ frameworks, SLAs, and alerting systems.
• Collaborate closely with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data solutions.

What will you bring to the team? 

• Experience in data engineering or similar roles, with a track record of delivering production-grade data pipelines.
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills, including dimensional modelling concepts, paired with Python proficiency for building and automating data workflows.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Airflow and dbt, and comfort with Git and CI/CD principles.
• Solid knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and its data-native services.
• Familiarity with AI/LLM-powered developer tooling and an interest in building data foundations that enable AI and ML use cases.
• A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with strong communication skills and a sharp eye for data reliability.
