About this role

Your job is to figure out why the company is losing money or missing out on growth, frame a solution to fix it, and write the step-by-step Playbook so every team across Germany can run it smoothly. You turn fuzzy business problems into high-ROI capability projects and ensure proven solutions get built, documented, and adopted.

Think of yourself like the chef who designs a high-performing recipe for a franchise. You don't run every local store yourself, and you don't build the kitchen appliances—you invent the process, prove it makes money, standardize the Playbook, and make sure every team in the country knows how to execute it right.

We're looking for someone who can live our behaviours of lead, deliver, and care—bringing strong business judgment, structured problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership to turn individual learnings into repeatable capabilities.

These are some of the key components to the position:

• Find and qualify high-value business problems: Dig into root causes, calculate the financial opportunity, and prioritize issues worth solving.
• Frame problems for testing: Define target cohorts, financial parameters, and business constraints before handing opportunities to Commercial Experimentation.
• Write practical operational Playbooks: Codify validated solutions into simple, clear instructions, step-by-step rules, and target metrics.
• Drive cross-market adoption: Coach regional operational teams, track Playbook implementation, and ensure new ways of working are actually embedded.
• Connect tech, data, and field teams: Act as the central translator between AI & Data (who build tech), Experimentation (who test), and Market Ops (who run live).
• Maintain the commercial perspective: Keep solution development anchored in real customer and partner needs so tech builds solve actual business issues.
• Step into their shoes: Work alongside local market teams to resolve operational barriers and ensure Playbooks are realistic to execute.
• Break down silos: Align commercial, operational, and technical leadership around shared capability goals without relying on line authority.
• Own your results: Track adoption rates and measure real bottom-line commercial impact to prove capability initiatives delivered value.
• Raise the bar on continuous improvement: Build feedback loops that update existing Playbooks as market conditions and capabilities evolve.

What will you bring to the team?

• Commercial & business strategy background: Strong understanding of business models, unit economics, growth drivers, and profit levers.
• Structured problem-solving skills: Ability to break down ambiguous business challenges into actionable problem statements and clear frameworks.
• Opportunity valuation skills: Skilled at estimating financial ROI, analyzing commercial trade-offs, and prioritizing high-impact work.
• Playbook authoring & documentation: Talent for translating complex, messy operational processes into concise, adoption-ready Playbooks.
• Cross-functional orchestration: Proven ability to align analytical, operational, and technology teams around a shared project vision.
• Influencing without authority: Excellent stakeholder management, comfortable driving accountability and progress across matrix teams.
• Change management & adoption focus: Demonstrated success rolling out new processes and driving operational change across decentralized teams.
• Outcome-driven mindset: Deeply focused on practical market impact, tracking metrics, and ensuring tools get used in the real world.
• Strategic curiosity: Passionate about challenging the status quo, uncovering root causes behind operational friction, and driving efficiency.
• Proactive self-starter: High-ownership mindset, comfortable navigating ambiguity, celebrating wins, and modeling JET values.
• Language Skills: Fluent German and English language skills are essential
