Position Summary:

The Office of Information Technology at Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Data Analyst Intern - Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining and validating databases used for reporting and analysis by the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Analysis.
• Help prepare data files and routine reports in response to internal and external information requests.
• Perform basic data analysis and data quality checks using SQL, Excel, or other reporting tools.
• Learn and apply principles of database design, data management, and data governance.
• Assist in integrating and organizing data from multiple sources for reporting and analysis purposes.
• Support the use of business intelligence and statistical software tools to create dashboards, visualizations, and summary reports.
• Participate in research projects and analytical studies by gathering, organizing, and summarizing data.
• Document processes, procedures, and report specifications as needed.
• Collaborate with analysts and institutional research staff on special projects and departmental initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree-seeking undergraduate student with a minimum of six credit hours (or twelve if international) and a 2.0 GPA. Student Assistants fall under the non-exempt, hourly pay rate type.

Preferred Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

$20 hourly.
