Joining Cymer Korea Factory as a Senior Manufacturing Quality Engineer means becoming a key driver of manufacturing quality in an environment where precision, reliability, and speed matter. You will identify priority risks, lead fact-based problem solving, strengthen process controls, and help create practical systems that make quality easier to execute every day.

Job Mission

Your mission is to improve and sustain manufacturing quality performance by preventing issues before they reach customers and resolving complex problems when they occur. You will strengthen manufacturing and supplier quality controls, drive effective corrective and preventive actions, and build alignment across local and global stakeholders.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to combine hands-on quality engineering with broader business impact: protecting customers, improving factory stability, reducing repeat failures, and contributing to a stronger quality culture.

Key Responsibility

• Own manufacturing quality performance across incoming inspection, in-process control, final inspection, nonconformance management, and customer-related quality topics, with a clear focus on preventing recurrence and protecting customer trust.
• Lead complex quality issue resolution from containment to root cause, corrective action, validation, and closure using data analysis, 8D, Six Sigma, QC tools, FMEA, SPC, or other structured problem-solving methods.
• Improve quality procedures, inspection standards, work instructions, and control processes so factory systems become clearer, more consistent, and easier to execute.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, Service, suppliers, and global teams to align priorities, remove barriers, and drive sustainable improvements.
• Translate quality data, risks, decisions, and corrective-action progress into clear updates for management and cross-functional stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Applied Physics, or a comparable technical discipline.
• 7~10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing quality engineering, process engineering, product quality, or quality assurance in a complex technical environment.
• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive quality issues from problem definition to sustainable closure.
• Hands-on experience solving manufacturing, process, product, or supplier quality issues using data and structured problem-solving methods.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing quality controls, inspection processes, nonconformance management, supplier quality management, and quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
• Ability to communicate clearly, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and work effectively across local and global teams.
• Ability to prioritize, make fact-based decisions, and deliver improvements in fast-paced, ambiguous, or changing environments
• Professional working proficiency in English and Korean for cross-functional and global collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in semiconductor equipment is preferred; experience from other complex manufacturing industries such as automotive, chemical, medical device, precision manufacturing, laser systems, mechatronics, optics, or other high-tech environments is also welcome.
• Experience working in fast-growing or evolving manufacturing environments where processes, systems, or responsibilities are still maturing.
• Experience with IATF 16949, product or process risk management, audit execution, supplier or material quality, or customer complaint management.
• Lean or Six Sigma certification, or hands-on experience delivering measurable quality improvements.
• Experience with data visualization or analytical tools such as advanced Excel, Minitab, Power BI, or equivalent tools.
