As a Commissioning Coordinator, you’ll play a hands-on role in helping our aged care sites get ready for new spaces, refurbishments and improvement projects. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing people, plans and practical details together — whether that’s coordinating with clinical and operational teams, keeping project actions on track, supporting site readiness, or making sure the final touches are in place for residents and teams.  
 
If you have experience in aged care, health, facilities, project coordination, administration or stakeholder support, this role offers the chance to build on those skills in a busy and meaningful project environment. 
 
Please note, this position is offered as a 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension. Flexibility is important to us, and we know it is to you, too - this role supports hybrid working by agreement.

Your part in our UnitingCare team:   

• Work closely with the Commissioning Manager to support commissioning activities across aged care refurbishment and development projects, helping sites prepare for new spaces, service changes and operational handover.

• Work closely with clinical, operations, property, project and supplier teams to keep communication flowing and make sure key requirements are understood.

• Coordinate practical project requirements including readiness plans, checklists, action registers, site familiarisation, handover activities and post-occupancy reviews.

• Help organise furniture, fittings, equipment, artwork and final project touches so spaces are ready for residents, families and teams.

• Keep projects moving by tracking priorities, risks, updates and key milestones, escalating issues early and supporting a smooth transition into operation.
  

What makes a difference for us?  

• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies. This may include a Nationally Coordinated Police Check, Right to Work in Australia, Insolvency Check, WWCC – Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening 

• Demonstrated understanding of clinical and operational service delivery within residential aged care, community services, hospital or healthcare environments.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage, interact and negotiate with a broad range of stakeholders.

• Confidence using Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and maintain accurate project documentation, registers and reporting.

• Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously while managing competing priorities, with an interest in health and safety legislation, best-practice safety culture and growing project management skills through the UCQ Project Delivery Framework.
