About the opportunity

The Liaison Nurse Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a senior position that encompasses co-ordination and management responsibilities of the ICU and deteriorating patient. This roles requires a high degree of autonomy and effective communication. The Liaison Nurse ICU works as a member of a multidisciplinary team that provides, quality client-focused care ensuring a holistic approach to the patient, and their carers. The Liaison Nurse ICU will act as a role model and clinical resource by encouraging best practice philosophy amongst ICU and ward staff and practice within the core values of Mercy Health.

What you’ll bring

You’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional patient-centred care.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

• Registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
• Post graduate qualification in Critical Care nursing
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Intensive Care Nursing
• Previous experience in leadership roles

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

• A current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
• Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
