About the Role

The OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) professional will support our SAP S/4HANA brownfield migration. You will lead the implementation, enhancement, and support of VIM within the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) landscape, including (IC4S) configuration, Vertex tax integration, and vendor invoice reconciliation. You will build, maintain, and troubleshoot custom VIM developments, and you will bring a solid grasp of the different PO and invoice types the business processes. Familiarity with the invoicing side of SAP Ariba is a plus.

• Implement and configure OpenText VIM (DP workflows, approval workflows, exception handling) in SAP S/4HANA.
• Configure and maintain OpenText Invoice Capture Server (ICS), including extraction profiles, document classification, validation rules, and the ICS-to-VIM handoff.
• Design, develop, and support VIM customizations, including BAdIs, enhancements, custom workflow steps, user exits, and custom ABAP reports.
• Support the P2P process end to end across the different PO and invoice types: standard, service, blanket/limit, consignment, subcontracting, and stock transfer POs, plus PO-based, non-PO, credit/debit memo, prepayment, recurring, and ERS invoices.
• Configure DP document types, process types, and routing rules so each PO and invoice scenario lands in the correct VIM process path.
• Handle three-way and two-way match, GR/IR, blocked invoices, and payment runs.
• Maintain Vertex integration for tax determination on vendor invoices and resolve tax variances between Vertex and SAP.
• Perform vendor invoice and tax reconciliation, identify root causes of mismatches, and implement corrective fixes.
• Support the interaction between VIM and SAP Ariba invoicing, including invoices received through Ariba Network, and help define which invoice channels flow through Ariba and which through VIM/ICS.
• Plan and execute VIM migration and upgrade activities for the S/4HANA conversion, including remediation of existing custom code.
• Provide L2/L3 production support: monitor DP document processing, resolve stuck documents, ICS errors, and workflow failures, and manage incidents to SLA.
• Partner with AP, Procurement, Tax, and Finance teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Write functional and technical specifications, test cases, and cutover/runbook documentation.
• Support integration touchpoints with PI/PO, BTP, Ariba, and archiving/output systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4+ years of hands-on SAP experience, with 2+ years implementing OpenText VIM.
• Hands-on OpenText Invoice Capture Server (ICS) configuration experience.
• Strong P2P knowledge in SAP (MM, FI-AP, MIRO, invoice verification, payment processing).
• Good understanding of the different PO types (standard, service, blanket/limit, consignment, subcontracting, stock transfer) and invoice processing types (PO-based, non-PO, credit/debit memos, prepayments, recurring, ERS), and how each is handled in VIM.
• Working knowledge of Vertex tax integration and vendor invoice reconciliation in SAP.
• Proven ability to design, build, and support VIM customizations (ABAP, workflow, BAdIs).
• Experience with at least two full-cycle VIM implementation or migration.
• Solid understanding of SAP workflow (SWDD, business objects) and DP document types, process options, and rule configuration.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with clear communication across business and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA 2025 and the OpenText VIM 2025 release.
• Experience with the invoicing side of SAP Ariba (Ariba Network e-invoicing, Ariba Invoice Management) and its integration with SAP S/4HANA and VIM.
• Experience with Dassian Performance Based Payments (PBP) for SAP, including how it interacts with invoice processing.
• Experience with VIM on S/4HANA or in a brownfield conversion.
• Experience automating the Invoice processing.
• Familiarity with OpenText Business Center and archiving (ArchiveLink/Content Server).
• Exposure to SAP PI/PO or BTP integration patterns.
• Experience with Fiori-based AP/VIM approval apps.
• OpenText VIM or SAP certification.
• Experience in manufacturing or other regulated, multi-entity environments.

 

 

Compensation:

Pay Range:

$83,830.00 - $115,287.25

Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
