We are looking for a Business Officer to support the smooth day-to-day operation of Core Labs. The role will manage non-technical business, administrative, procurement, and financial activities while working closely with Core Lab Directors, staff, HR, Finance, Procurement, Legal, and other KAUST stakeholders. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day business and administrative operations for assigned Core Labs.
• Coordinate travel, accommodation, transportation, gate passes, events, onboarding, and office requirements.
• Support recruitment activities, interview scheduling, hiring coordination, and new-employee onboarding.
• Raise shopping carts and coordinate procurement, vendor registration, logistics, and purchasing activities.
• Manage invoices, reimbursements, billing, and financial reports while ensuring data accuracy.
• Prepare quotations and support contracts, documentation, and coordination with Legal and other stakeholders.
• Act as the key contact for Core Lab Directors and staff regarding non-technical operational matters.
• Identify operational issues, recommend solutions, support process improvements, and ensure business continuity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field; Science or Engineering is preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in business operations, administration, finance, or a similar role.
• Experience in procurement, finance, vendor coordination, invoices, or business support.
• Hands-on experience with SAP, Ariba, or similar financial/procurement systems.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Strong English communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage confidential information, and handle multiple deadlines in a complex organization.
