Insurance, Worksite, & Institutional Technology 

Full Time – Springfield/Boston

The Opportunity 

As a Business Analyst, you will shape the systems requirements and solution approaches that bring new and enhanced insurance products to market. Your work will connect business strategy with technology execution, helping ensure complex product development programs deliver effective, scalable solutions for customers and the business. 

In this highly collaborative and fast-paced role, you will partner with Product, Operations, Architecture, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Delivery teams to translate business objectives into clear, actionable requirements and solution definitions. You will provide senior business systems analysis leadership, independently guide decisions, resolve ambiguity, and drive alignment across stakeholders to support successful delivery from concept through implementation. 

The Team 

The Insurance, Worksite, & Institutional Technology organization supports the capabilities used to design, launch, and service Life, Annuity, Disability, and related insurance products. The team spans policy administration, underwriting, illustrations, product rules, integrations, digital experiences, correspondence, reporting, and downstream operations. In this role, you will strengthen requirements practices and solution readiness across these capabilities to improve alignment and reduce rework. 

The Impact 

• Lead requirements strategy for complex, cross-functional insurance product initiatives, ensuring business objectives are translated into clear, actionable system requirements. 

• Elicit, document, decompose, validate, and prioritize business and functional requirements to improve solution clarity and delivery readiness. 

• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to shape solution approaches, evaluate impacts and dependencies, and guide informed decisions. 

• Maintain requirements traceability across design, development, testing, implementation, and post-launch support to help ensure intended business outcomes are achieved. 

• Facilitate working sessions, resolve ambiguity, and drive alignment across teams to reduce delivery risk and downstream rework. 

• Apply insurance domain knowledge and systems thinking to identify gaps, support quality validation, and strengthen solutions throughout the product lifecycle. 

The Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 8+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Business Systems Analysis, Product Analysis, Systems Analysis, or a related technology delivery role.
• 3+ years of experience supporting insurance operations and technology initiatives in areas such as Life, Annuity, Disability, Underwriting, Policy Administration, Billing, Claims, or related insurance functions.

The Ideal Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive Business Analysis or Business Systems Analysis experience, including experience leading analysts or serving as the lead analyst on major programs. 
• 3+ years of experience leading requirements for complex systems, integrations, vendor platforms, or cross-functional technology initiatives.
• 5+ years of experience supporting multiple phases of the software delivery lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, and production support.
• 5+ years of experience developing business analysis deliverables such as requirements, functional specifications, user stories, process flows, data requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• 3+ years of experience facilitating requirements and solution design sessions and documenting key decisions, issues, and action items.
• 3+ years of experience preparing and presenting requirements, recommendations, and project updates to senior leaders and stakeholders.

• Advanced knowledge of insurance product development, including product specifications, state filing considerations, regulatory impacts, and launch readiness. 

• Experience working across Agile, hybrid, and waterfall delivery models, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, PI planning, release planning, and structured governance. 

• Experience with one or more insurance technology capabilities, including policy administration, underwriting, illustrations, product or rules engines, data integrations, correspondence, reporting, or advisor- and customer-facing digital platforms. 

• Experience coordinating delivery with third-party vendors, managed service partners, or enterprise shared service teams. 

• Proficiency with analysis and delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, Visio, Miro, Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, or comparable tools. 

• Professional certification such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, CSPO, SAFe, Six Sigma, or a comparable credential.
