Reports to: Central Facilities Supervisor
Hours Commitment: 40-45 hours per week with regular weekend responsibilities.
Objective: To show others that they matter to God by being committed to the physical campus maintenance needs and helping to remove distractions by creating safe and clean environments so that guests will want to return.
Personal Qualifications
Primary Responsibilities:

Fulfill building maintenance and grounds needs in a timely fashion.

Order/receive supplies and equipment for maintenance and upkeep of church property.

Ensure the timely completion of required and budgeted inspections and documentation related to the physical plant and grounds.

Ensure the effective usage of general storage areas, keeping them organized, clean, and within proper access guidelines.

Assist the Director in recruiting, training, encouraging, and supervising volunteers performing various physical plant and campus related tasks.

Attend appropriate events to enhance related skills and keep abreast of related techniques, equipment, and products.

Maintain an MSDS program.
-
Participate in building security rotation.
-
Participate in the on-call rotation.
-
Participate regularly in weekend work hours.

Complete preventative maintenance program.

Complete corrective work orders.
-
All other duties as assigned.

Ability to assess weather effects on deliveries and address them effectively and timely.

Must be flexible with schedules to meet the needs and demands of the facility for special events, both scheduled and unscheduled.

Physical ability to complete the job, including lifting approximately 75 pounds.

Prefer a minimum of 4 years of physical plant and grounds maintenance experience.

Demonstrated experience in a business, church, or parachurch environment with a record of accomplishment of successfully accomplishing goals.

Ability to assess physical plant and grounds needs and address them in an effective and timely manner.

Competency in computer drive HVAC, fire, and security systems.

Computer skills and ability to learn additional software.

Evaluation:
The Building Maintenance Technician will meet regularly with the Central Facilities Supervisor for planning, goal-setting, progress updates, and general coaching. A formal Action and Development Plan will be completed and reviewed three times throughout the year.
