The Banquets Assistant Manager supports the daily operation of the Banquet Department by overseeing event execution, supervising banquet team members, and ensuring all functions are carried out according to Four Seasons standards. This role works closely with Catering and Conference Services teams, Culinary leadership, and operational departments to ensure flawless execution of events. This position is part of the Food & Beverage division and reports to Banquet Leadership.
What you will do:
Support the planning, organization, and execution of banquet events and catered functions
Lead, motivate, coach, and develop banquet team members and supervisors to ensure service excellence
Maintain a visible presence during events and serve as a primary point of contact for guests, clients, and group organizers
Coordinate event setup requirements according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure accurate execution of all event details
Collaborate closely with Catering & Conference Services, Culinary, Stewarding, and operational teams to ensure seamless event delivery
Monitor food quality, beverage service, presentation standards, and overall guest satisfaction throughout events
Assist with scheduling, labor management, inventory control, and operational efficiency initiatives
Support banquet leadership in maintaining departmental standards, procedures, and service expectations
Conduct pre-function meetings and communicate operational details to banquet staff
Resolve guest concerns and special requests promptly and professionally
Inspect banquet facilities and equipment regularly, ensuring all spaces are maintained to Four Seasons standards
Assist with event setup, breakdown, food service, and operational support during high-volume periods as needed
Participate in operational meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives
What you bring:
College degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Restaurant Management, or equivalent experience preferred
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a Banquet Assistant Manager, Banquet Supervisor, or Food & Beverage leadership role
Strong knowledge of banquet operations, food and beverage service, event planning, and guest engagement
Experience leading teams in a luxury hotel, resort, or upscale event environment preferred
Knowledge of labor management, cost control, inventory management, and operational planning
Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching skills
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in hospitality technology, event management systems, and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
