Responsibilities / Tasks
We are looking for a motivated trainee to support ongoing initiatives in automation and digital innovation, product development, research activities, internal process improvements, OT cybersecurity implementation and regular automation support. The role is designed as an entry point for students or recent graduates, with responsibilities adapted to a learning environment and close guidance from the team.
The trainee will have the opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to a wide variety of topics including digital solutions, innovation frameworks, customer requirements handling, coordination of small research tasks, internal documentation, and support to cross functional projects.
Key responsibilities
Support the automation execution teams by performing hands‑on tasks in automation projects involving both legacy and new technologies.
Support the development and improvement of internal tools and small solutions that optimize processes within the automation and digital execution teams.
Support the integration of OT cybersecurity practices into automation projects by preparing documentation, organizing reviews, and following up on required security actions.
Support the implementation of secure development processes, ensuring that cybersecurity, standards and compliance checkpoints are properly captured and executed.
Support digital innovation initiatives, assisting in practical tasks related to AI, IIoT, MES, Digital Twins, RPA, automations, and other digital solution activities.
Support research and technology scouting to help identify new trends, tools, and methods that enhance industrial automation and digital capabilities.
Support requirement gathering and consolidation for digital and automation solutions, helping structure inputs from project teams, engineering, and stakeholders.
Support documentation and reporting activities including meeting notes, test summaries, process descriptions, and dashboards to ensure project transparency and alignment.
Your Profile / Qualifications
Must be in the final year of a Bachelor's or Master's degree (Engineering, Connected Industry, Data Science, or similar). Eligible to undertake an internship as part of your academic program.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
Strong analytical mindset and willingness to learn.
Basic understanding of digital or engineering concepts (not required but beneficial).
Good communication skills, structured working approach.
Comfortable with MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
Interest in product development, innovation or digital technologies.
Curiosity and proactive attitude.
Ability to work in a dynamic, international environment.
Team player with good organizational skills.
