MUFG is seeking an Associate, FX & Derivatives Sales to work closely with Relationship Managers and other key stakeholders to promote a diverse range of products and services, including Foreign Exchange (FX) and Derivatives. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting departmental strategies aligned with branch goals, facilitating smooth change management initiatives, and delivering exceptional banking services that maximise both revenue generation and customer satisfaction.

What you'll do:

As an Associate, FX & Derivatives Sales, you will play a pivotal role in supporting departmental strategies that drive success across the branch.

• Consider issues from a team perspective and propose thoughtful solutions to your line manager, fostering a collaborative approach within the department
• Support your line manager in building departmental strategies that align seamlessly with branch goals, ensuring processes are optimised for change management
• Deliver relevant banking services to customers with the aim of maximising revenue while also prioritising customer satisfaction through attentive service
• Cooperate with Relationship Managers, Traders, and other divisions to enhance treasury profits
• Build effective relationships with key customers to develop new business opportunities and consistently deliver high-quality service tailored to their needs
• Partner with Relationship Managers to understand customer expectations, hedge both obvious and potential needs, and promote a comprehensive range of products and services
• Remain sensitive to shifts in customer expectations by suggesting appropriate measures
• Collaborate with Product Offices from various entities to leverage their products and expertise while maintaining relationships for future business opportunities
• Provide guidance and coaching to other team members
• Analyse market trends and research data on FX and Derivatives to identify revenue opportunities and develop presentation materials to support client pitches and the promotion of treasury products and solutions
• Understand regulatory requirements and audit findings, assess their implications, and support the implementation of action plans to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies
• Assess risks relevant to the business and support the implementation of appropriate mitigation measures in accordance with the risk management framework
• Monitor market developments and risk factors by gathering information from various sources, and communicate relevant insights to stakeholders in a timely manner
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, treasury products, laws, and regulations to support informed decision-making and client engagement
• Support the line manager in maintaining the effective operation of the team, contributing to productivity improvement initiatives

What you bring:

To excel in this role, you will bring relevant experience in the financial services industry, with exposure to global markets products such as FX and Derivatives.

• Degree qualification is required for this position
• At least 5 years of relevant experience within financial institutions or similar environments
• Good stakeholder management skills
• Strong communication skills
• Deep knowledge of global markets products coupled with robust risk management skills
• Substantial understanding of the local banking regulatory environment allows you to navigate compliance requirements confidently while supporting branch operations
• Proficiency in English is essential
