• Wage: $36.29 -$ 39.09 depending on apprentice level
• Overtime paid as double time
• Shift: 4x3 compressed shift

Job Description:
- Maintain and repair Caterpillar Construction Equipment, Mining Equipment and Expanded Mining Equipment
- Component rebuild and repair
- Some Manufacturing
- Perform routine maintenance work
- Occasional work at heights and confined spaces
- Frequent bending, squatting, climbing, and lifting/pushing of up to 45 pounds without assistance
- Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
- Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team
- Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required
Qualifications
- Second year Apprentice Welder
- Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
- Strong welding aptitude: vertical, flat, and overhead test for both SMAW and FCAW, machining experience is beneficial
- Repair welding would be considered an asset
- Strong line boring experience will be considered an asset
Important Details
- This position is based in our Cranbrook branch on a 4x3 shift with potential to switch to a 7x7 shift
- A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
- Field work may be required
