We currently have a vacancy for an Application Architect fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Tasks:

• Architecture and design of information systems;
• Design, implementation and maintenance of the database layer of multi-tiers applications;
• Design, implementation and maintenance of the front-end layer and back-end layer of web applications;
• Design and development of component architecture and building blocks;
• Production of software architecture documents and other relevant technical documentation;
• Physical database design; 
• Development and maintenance of database stored procedures;
• Database configuration and optimisation, as well as database integration with applications;
• Execution of database test programs;
• Assistance with deployment and configuration of the Database.

Requirements

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 15 years of relevant working experience;
• Minimum 10 years of experience with SQL, PL/SQL, data modelling, physical database design, and database optimisation, including 10 years of experience with Oracle DBMS (query optimisation, indexing, and Oracle Text);
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Enterprise Architecture, including interoperability technologies such as REST APIs, SOAP, ESBs, and message oriented middleware;
• Minimum 10 years of experience with web technologies, application design and programming languages;
• Minimum 10 years of experience Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban;  
• Minimum 10 years of experience with JAVA Programming Language (11/17/21);
• Minimum 10 years of experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate and JPA;  
• Minimum 10 years of experience with Angular (15 or higher);
• Minimum 10 years of experience with Gitlab and/or Atlassian suite, such as Bitbucket and Maven;
• Minimum 10 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining multi-tier applications and database solutions, including J2EE/JEE-based systems;
• Minimum 10 years of experience with automated testing practices, including JUnit and Test-Driven Development (TDD);
• Minimum 10 years of experience in applying security best practices, including authentication and authorisation mechanisms through Spring Security;
• Minimum 10 years of experience in producing technical documentation and software architecture artefacts;
• Experience with Bamboo;
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related DevSecOps tooling;
• Experience with performance monitoring and quality tools, including SonarQube;
• Excellent command of the English language.
