Job Description
Human Resources Services (HRS) is an internal function providing global operations and business support across Brookfield’s lines of business.
As a member of the HR Service Desk (HRSD), the Analyst, HR Operations is responsible for delivering high-quality HR support to employees, managers, and the broader global HR team. The role serves as a key point of contact for HR-related questions, employee assistance, and the execution of day-to-day HR transactions across the employee lifecycle.
The Analyst will respond to employee and manager inquiries, provide guidance on HR programs, policies, processes, and systems, and complete a broad range of transactions within Workday and other HR platforms. This includes supporting activities such as hires, job changes, organizational changes, leaves, employee data updates, and terminations.
The role requires a strong customer-service mindset, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage and resolve employee requests in a high-volume, global shared services environment. This position supports Brookfield Asset Management and affiliate organizations globally.
Responsibilities
Employee & Manager Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers, responding to HR-related questions and providing clear, timely, and professional assistance.
HR Case Management: Manage employee and manager requests from intake through resolution, ensuring questions and issues are appropriately researched, documented, resolved, or escalated when required.
HR Transactions: Process a broad range of employee lifecycle transactions accurately and efficiently within Workday, including hires, job changes, transfers, promotions, organizational changes, employee data updates, leaves, and terminations.
Employee Data Administration: Maintain accurate employee information within HR systems and complete required data reviews and validation to support data integrity.
Employee Guidance: Assist employees and managers in navigating HR processes, policies, systems, self-service tools, and available HR resources.
Onboarding & Offboarding Support: Support employee onboarding and offboarding activities, ensuring required HR transactions, documentation, and employee communications are completed accurately and on time.
HR Documentation: Prepare, review, and maintain employee-related documentation and correspondence associated with HR transactions and processes.
Issue Resolution: Investigate transactional or system-related issues, identify appropriate solutions, and partner with HR colleagues or other teams where additional expertise or escalation is required.
Process & Knowledge Support: Follow established HR procedures and knowledge articles while identifying opportunities to improve processes, employee experience, and service delivery.
Service Delivery: Execute HR requests and transactions in accordance with established service level agreements (SLAs), quality standards, controls, and compliance requirements.
Confidentiality & Compliance: Handle sensitive employee information with discretion and ensure HR transactions are completed in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable requirements.
Perform other HR Service Desk transactional, administrative, and employee support activities as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Strong customer service orientation with a demonstrated ability to support employees and managers in a professional and responsive manner.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of HR administrative, HR operations, employee services, or shared services experience, preferably within a professional services environment.
Experience processing HR transactions across the employee lifecycle.
Experience working with an HRIS; Workday experience is considered an asset.
Experience working in a high-volume HR shared services, service desk, or case management environment is preferred.
Ability to interpret HR processes and policies and provide clear guidance to employees and managers.
Ability to independently investigate and resolve employee requests, including more complex or non-standard situations, using sound judgment and appropriate escalation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
Highly organized with the ability to manage a high volume of requests and competing priorities.
Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of employee requests and manage them through to resolution.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information appropriately.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience using Excel to review, reconcile, and audit data using formulas, lookups, and pivot tables is an asset.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000
Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations.
