As a member of the HR Service Desk (HRSD), the Analyst, HR Operations is responsible for delivering high-quality HR support to employees, managers, and the broader global HR team. The role serves as a key point of contact for HR-related questions, employee assistance, and the execution of day-to-day HR transactions across the employee lifecycle.

The Analyst will respond to employee and manager inquiries, provide guidance on HR programs, policies, processes, and systems, and complete a broad range of transactions within Workday and other HR platforms. This includes supporting activities such as hires, job changes, organizational changes, leaves, employee data updates, and terminations.

The role requires a strong customer-service mindset, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage and resolve employee requests in a high-volume, global shared services environment. This position supports Brookfield Asset Management and affiliate organizations globally.

Responsibilities

  • Employee & Manager Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers, responding to HR-related questions and providing clear, timely, and professional assistance.

  • HR Case Management: Manage employee and manager requests from intake through resolution, ensuring questions and issues are appropriately researched, documented, resolved, or escalated when required.

  • HR Transactions: Process a broad range of employee lifecycle transactions accurately and efficiently within Workday, including hires, job changes, transfers, promotions, organizational changes, employee data updates, leaves, and terminations.

  • Employee Data Administration: Maintain accurate employee information within HR systems and complete required data reviews and validation to support data integrity.

  • Employee Guidance: Assist employees and managers in navigating HR processes, policies, systems, self-service tools, and available HR resources.

  • Onboarding & Offboarding Support: Support employee onboarding and offboarding activities, ensuring required HR transactions, documentation, and employee communications are completed accurately and on time.

  • HR Documentation: Prepare, review, and maintain employee-related documentation and correspondence associated with HR transactions and processes.

  • Issue Resolution: Investigate transactional or system-related issues, identify appropriate solutions, and partner with HR colleagues or other teams where additional expertise or escalation is required.

  • Process & Knowledge Support: Follow established HR procedures and knowledge articles while identifying opportunities to improve processes, employee experience, and service delivery.

  • Service Delivery: Execute HR requests and transactions in accordance with established service level agreements (SLAs), quality standards, controls, and compliance requirements.

  • Confidentiality & Compliance: Handle sensitive employee information with discretion and ensure HR transactions are completed in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable requirements.

  • Perform other HR Service Desk transactional, administrative, and employee support activities as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Strong customer service orientation with a demonstrated ability to support employees and managers in a professional and responsive manner.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 3 years of HR administrative, HR operations, employee services, or shared services experience, preferably within a professional services environment.

  • Experience processing HR transactions across the employee lifecycle.

  • Experience working with an HRIS; Workday experience is considered an asset.

  • Experience working in a high-volume HR shared services, service desk, or case management environment is preferred.

  • Ability to interpret HR processes and policies and provide clear guidance to employees and managers.

  • Ability to independently investigate and resolve employee requests, including more complex or non-standard situations, using sound judgment and appropriate escalation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage a high volume of requests and competing priorities.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of employee requests and manage them through to resolution.

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information appropriately.

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Experience using Excel to review, reconcile, and audit data using formulas, lookups, and pivot tables is an asset.
