Project Information:
ACCIONA is part of the ActivUs Alliance with CPB Contractors, UGL, SMEC and WSP, delivering the $5.75 billion Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project. The project will double the tracks and upgrade stations along a 20 kilometre corridor between Kuraby and Beenleigh, boosting capacity and reliability ahead of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
About the Opportunity:
As Community and Stakeholder Advisor, you will be a key day-to-day voice of the project for residents, businesses and community groups along the rail corridor. Reporting to the Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Manager, you will support the Senior Communications Advisors with proactive stakeholder engagement, including development of communications materials such as works notifications and fact sheets; as well as managing and responding to stakeholder enquiries and complaints received via phone, email and other means. You will also support the team with Open Point database management, photography requirements, and project events, building broad exposure across the communications function. Your work shapes how communities experience major construction.
Key accountabilities for the position will be:
- Partner with construction teams to forecast works impacts and plan notifications
- Respond to stakeholder enquiries and complaints, and resolve issues with project teams
- Prepare works notifications, fact sheets and newsletters for impacted communities
- Maintain the Open Point stakeholder database and keep records accurate
- Contribute to Community Information Sessions, Reference Group meetings and other project events
- Coordinate regular project progress photography and videography, and contribute to post-production development of content
- Draft messaging for media enquiries and hot issues, plus internal and corporate updates
- Monitor community feedback and prepare stakeholder engagement reports.
Required Skills and Competencies
What capability and experience will you need to have:
- Community engagement experience, ideally on infrastructure projects (3-5 years desirable)
- Clear writing for notifications, fact sheets and media messaging- Calm, professional handling of enquiries and complaints
- Confident managing stakeholder databases, Open Point experience preferred
- Organised approach to competing priorities across work fronts.
