Weekend Babysitter – Fremont, CA

A welcoming family in Fremont, CA 94555 is seeking a dynamic, engaging weekend babysitter to care for their two children, ages 3 and 8. The ideal caregiver enjoys guiding outdoor adventures, fostering creative play, and keeping two active kids happily engaged. The household includes a cat and is a smoke-free environment.

Schedule:

• Saturday and Sunday: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Required availability: At least 3 weekends per month (advance notice will be provided for any cancellations)
• Guaranteed weekly hours: 6 hours per weekend

Family Specifications:

• Active, play-focused home environment with two children (3 and 8 years old)
• Smoke-free home
• Pet-friendly household (cat in the home)

Responsibilities:

• Lead creative indoor activities, including arts & crafts and educational play
• Walk children to and from the local park and actively manage and engage them during outdoor play
• Maintain continuous engagement with both children, tailoring activities to their respective ages
• Assist children with picking up toys and cleaning up after play sessions
• Safely drive children using caregiver's own vehicle as needed

Requirements:

• Proven experience caring for toddlers and school-aged children simultaneously
• Ability to safely transport children; must have a reliable personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and clean driving record
• Physical ability to walk to the park and actively keep up with an energetic toddler outdoors
• Fluency in English to support educational activities and clear communication

Compensation:

• $32–$35 per hour
• Gas reimbursement provided for any driving completed on behalf of the family
