Key Responsibilities
- Provides strategic oversight of AML/CFT and financial crime risk management across the CFS portfolio, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, Group policies, and industry best practices.
- Acts as the key approver and escalation point for high-risk customer reviews, including Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), Trigger Event Reviews (TER), Periodic Reviews (PR), and Transaction Reviews (TR), ensuring robust identification, assessment, and mitigation of AML/CFT risks.
- Provides AML/CFT and sanctions advisory support to business units and stakeholders, enabling prudent business growth while maintaining strong financial crime risk controls.
- Drives process optimization, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement of AML/CFT controls and operational efficiency.
- Leads, coaches, and develops the CARM team while ensuring effective resource planning, quality assurance, capability building, and a strong risk and compliance culture.
Requirements:
Given the significance of the role, we are seeking a candidate with:
- Deep AML/CFT, sanctions, and financial crime risk management expertise with minimum of 7 years of experience.
- Strong regulatory knowledge and sound risk judgement.
- Proven leadership and people management capabilities.
- Ability to make informed decisions on complex high-risk customer relationships and AML risk matters.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills to effectively engage senior management, business units, Compliance, Audit, and regulators.
- Demonstrated capability in driving process improvements, automation initiatives, and continuous enhancement of AML controls.
