The role requires the ability to work independently, identify training needs, create effective training materials, and facilitate engaging training sessions. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with different teams. To be successful, you are customer-focused and highly organized, with a knack for managing agendas & schedules. You are curious about technical software and have an eagerness to learn from and train others. Bilingual (English and French) is preferred, but we will consider applicants of exceptional quality in lieu.

Location: North York (Hybrid)

Salary Range: 65,000-70,000 CAD

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• General 
• Develop and implement training programs for our employees and clients.
• Analyze training needs and create training plans to address those needs.
• Create and maintain training materials, including guides, videos, and presentations.
• Conduct training sessions, both virtually / online and in-office, for employees and clients.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
• Collaborate with different teams to identify training needs and ensure consistency across departments.
• Work with the Technical Engineering team on new products and integrations to train external parties and build training content
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes to ensure training materials remain relevant and effective.

• External Training – Clients & Customers
  • Facilitate the introduction of Volanté Point-of-Sale (POS) software to first-time clients by coordinating with Project Managers to create training schedules and agendas
  • Execute training sessions on the Volante Software application
  • Create and execute training sessions using Zoom dial-in & attendance tracking information for client and internal training sessions.
  • Understand user requirements, technical specifications, and product features in order to translate into training points for the client
  • Send appropriate documentation to clients after training sessions
  • Assist in the creation of assets (written guides, job aids, and quick-video walkthroughs) and maintain post-training client-facing job-aids in Confluence Learning Hub knowledge base
  • Maintain session tracking spreadsheets for analytics & training ticketing system

• Internal Training - Employees & New-Hire Onboarding
  • Prepare training plans for new hires entering the organization
  • Assist with training new hires on Volanté’s POS Software and other products
  • Create and administer training evaluations to ensure successful knowledge transfer / retention
  • Maintain accurate documentation of internal training plans
  • Content planning and creation for internal learning management system

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bilingual (EN-FR) is preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience in learning and development
• Bachelor’s degree or certification in Adult Learning, Instructional design or equivalent work experience in a related field (Certified Training Practitioner™ (CTP) is an asset
• Experience in creating and delivering training programs for software applications.
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written correspondence
• Previous client/customer facing training experience through various channels (i.e. Zoom, video sessions, in-person sessions, class settings, or other applicable customer-facing environments)
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly, with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks for yourself and others
• Strong initiative with the ability to provide training feedback as necessary
• Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and other training technologies is an asset.
• Previous experience working in a restaurant or retail environment with POS systems or experience in working with SaaS applications (software / hardware) is an asset
• Able to travel within Canada and the US on occasion (valid passport)
