Join Our Team as a Regulatory Compliance Trade Paralegal at Axiom
We are seeking a Regulatory Compliance Trade Paralegal to support an established legal or compliance team. Working under the direction of an attorney or senior compliance professional, you will help clients manage day-to-day trade compliance needs and maintain effective legal and compliance processes. This role is suited to a paralegal with relevant experience who is interested in supporting trade compliance work as part of a broader legal or compliance practice. This is an existing vacancy.
Responsibilities:
- Support attorneys and compliance professionals with trade compliance matters.
- Assist with researching and tracking applicable import, export, and sanctions requirements.
- Organize and maintain trade compliance records, procedures, and supporting documentation.
- Help review transactions, business activities, and documentation for potential compliance issues.
- Coordinate with legal, compliance, and business teams to gather information and support internal reviews.
- Assist with preparing compliance materials, reports, and internal guidance.
Qualifications:
- Paralegal experience supporting a legal or compliance team.
- Familiarity with trade compliance, import/export controls, customs, or sanctions matters.
- Strong research, organization, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage documentation carefully and work effectively under attorney or senior compliance direction.
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to U.S. export controls, including the EAR or ITAR.
- Familiarity with OFAC sanctions or customs requirements.
- Experience supporting trade compliance processes within an established legal or compliance structure.
Compensation:
The estimated total compensation for full-time Axiom attorney roles is $104,500-325,000 per year and for non-attorney roles is $71,250-309,750 per year. Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
