About the location:

A secluded oasis at the edge of an idyllic lagoon! On the east coast of Mauritius, lapped by turquoise waters perfect for water sports, our relaxing Resort is filled with lush greenery and dramatic views everywhere you turn. Each stylish villa and residence feature its own private garden and pool – just like the home for the Resort’s resident giant tortoises. We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Steward to join our Stewarding team.

This position is earmarked to be part of our Foreign Worker  Initiative.

As part of our international recruitment and global talent acquisition efforts, this position supports diversity and inclusion in Mauritius. The candidate must be physically fit, disciplined, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, plates, and operating equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen and stewarding areas
• Support chefs and kitchen teams with operational cleaning requirements
• Handle garbage disposal and maintain waste management standards
• Ensure proper storage and organization of equipment
• Follow hygiene, HACCP, and safety procedures at all times
• Assist with pot washing and heavy-duty cleaning tasks
• Support receiving and movement of goods when required

Requirements

• Physically strong and able to handle heavy lifting and long working hours
• Able to work both day shift and night shift
• Ability to work in hot and fast-paced environments
• Good teamwork attitude and discipline
• Basic English communication skills preferred
• Previous stewarding or cleaning experience is an advantage

Preferred Profile

• Experience in hotels, restaurants, or industrial kitchens
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Good understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Positive attitude and willingness to support operations

Salary:

Your Basic salary will be Rs. 20,610/- monthly which is equivalent to Rs. 247,320/- annually.
