About the scope
Statutory Reporting Team is part of the Group Controllership and provides oversight on financial activities and controls including statutory accounting and reporting on legal entity level, including management of external audits, regulatory and statistical reporting. The team is responsible for the interpretation of financial and statutory data, the coordination and management of financial and statutory reporting, the management of the P&L and balance sheet on legal entity level delivering solutions that will increase insight and transparency. The department responsibilities also include ensuring there is a true and fair representation of the legal entities business performance at the cut-off point for the fiscal period.
About the role
- Preparing and reviewing the Financial Statement, Statutory Report according to the Greek Regulations and Greek GAAP, as well as full compliance with the Greek tax Agenda.
- Providing the timely and accurate submission of the statutory and additional tax reports according to the regulations of Greek GAAP and IFRS.
- Ensuring that statutory processes are undertaken accurately, efficiently, on time and that the surrounding control procedures are strictly adhered to in line with the internal (CARM) and external requirements
- Preparing the statutory entity, also produce analytical review of statutory accounts to provide substantial explanation of the entity’s activities and performance during the financial year.
- Preparing and supervising the statutory adjustment and transfer pricing process
- Acting as key technical accounting SME for the Greek Accounting and Reporting matters
- Running and supervising all the tax compliance activities: direct taxes (CIT, Transfer pricing, WHT), indirect taxes (VAT, Intrastat, Listing, Excise)
- Preparing short-term, medium-term, and long-term cash flow forecasts with focus on upcoming financing needs and related internal investment.
About you
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance / Accounting/ Business administration
- Qualified accountant – Qualification in Greek GAAP (Licence A' holder)
- 6-8 years’ experience in relevant area
- Experience working within an international / multicultural environment
- Experience in Exemplary Risk Management (Internal Controls, Managing Risk, Embedding Compliance & Ethics)
- Strong analytical skills to be able to see and understand the big picture and deliver high level message, offering solutions for issues
- Proficient English knowledge
- Proficient Greek Business / Finance Language knowledge with track record of business usage
- Detailed understanding of Greek GAAP
