Staff Engineer -CCRS

Staff Engineer – Compliance, Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Team

TJX is a Fortune 100 global retailer with a rapidly growing India technology presence. Our India teams play a critical role in driving global platform engineering, innovation, and delivery excellence across enterprise systems.

The Enterprise Business Technology team delivers global solutions across HCM, Finance, Site Solutions, and CCRS using a mix of ServiceNow, SaaS platforms, and custom-built applications. As we expand in India, this role offers the opportunity to own architecture, influence global strategy, and build scalable platforms used worldwide.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Staff Engineer with deep expertise in ServiceNow and SaaS platforms to lead architecture, design scalable solutions, and drive engineering excellence.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both:

• Strategic thinking (architecture, standards, platform vision)
• Execution depth (solution design, complex build, integration patterns)

You will work closely with global teams across the US, Europe, and APAC.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Platform Ownership

• Own and evolve end-to-end architecture for ServiceNow and SaaS ecosystem within CCRS
• Define and enforce design standards, reusable patterns, and governance models
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance requirements
• Drive platform scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability

Hands-on Technical Leadership

• Act as primary technical authority for ServiceNow and integrations
• Provide deep hands-on support in complex design and troubleshooting scenarios
• Mentor engineers and elevate overall technical capability of the India team
• Lead architecture reviews, POCs, and technology evaluations

ServiceNow & SaaS Engineering

• Design and deliver solutions using:
  • ServiceNow (App Engine, UI Builder, Now Experience, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, ATF)
  • Multiple SaaS platforms and custom apps
• Drive reuse and standardization across ServiceNow applications
• Optimize platform usage to reduce technical debt and operational overhead

Integration Strategy & Execution

• Define and implement enterprise integration patterns:
  • REST APIs, event-driven architecture, pub/sub, middleware
• Lead integrations across ServiceNow, SaaS platforms, and enterprise systems
• Work with tools like Boomi, Kafka, Talend, or similar

DevOps & Delivery Excellence

• Drive adoption of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing (ATF), and DevOps practices
• Define release management and environment strategies
• Ensure high system reliability through monitoring, logging, and observability

Global Collaboration

• Partner with global stakeholders and vendors to deliver high-quality solutions at scale
• Participate in overlapping time zones to support global programs

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Engineering skillset / training / work experience in relevant technical domain
• 5-8 years Engineering experience in relevant technical domain
• Deep hands-on experience with:
  • ServiceNow (UI Builder, App Engine Studio, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Workspaces)
• Strong expertise in multi-SaaS environments and enterprise integrations
• Programming expertise in JavaScript (must-have) + Java/Python
• Proven experience in:
  • Architecture ownership
  • Scaling platforms across global teams
• Strong understanding of performance, security, and compliance in SaaS platforms

Nice-to-Have

• Integration platforms: Boomi, Kafka, Talend, ACE
• ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS)
• Experience in ESG, sustainability, or regulatory systems
• Modern test frameworks (Playwright) and ATF automation
