Job Summary

The Accountant prepares, analyzes and reviews financial statements using accounting principles in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and enterprise allocation methods.

Requirements

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. If degree is in Finance, successful completion of Intermediate Accounting I & II required.

LICENSING/CERTIFICATION

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

• Minimum three (3) years' accounting experience. OR applicable Masters in related field with minimum one (1) years' experience.

LOCATION

This is a hybrid role in our Little Rock, AR, location, requiring a minimum of three days in office weekly.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and reviews financial statements for completeness, accuracy, and compliance. • Assists in special projects, as directed. • Assists with financial reporting audits, working with the internal audits, Arkansas Insurance Department, independent auditors, and/or Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association. • Performs advanced accounting functions, including but not limited to preparation of journal entries, coding of invoices, accounting analysis and reconciliation. • Performs other duties as assigned. • Prepares supporting financial data as required. • Reconciles, confirms and maintains general ledger accounts. • Reviews the work of peers providing coaching and mentoring to less experienced accountants.

$52,400.00 - $68,100.00
